Public buildings
The Bell Tower of San Prospero is situated in Piazza San Prospero, next to the Basilica.
The Cavallerizza Theatre is located near Foro Boario, the present-day site of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, close to the Valli and Ariosto theatres.
The cloister complex of the former Benedictine Monastery of Saint Peter and Saint Prospero is situated along the Via Emilia, next to the Church of San Pietro.
Reggio Emilia’s main theatre and symbol of the city is located in the heart of the old town centre.
